Premium franchise development & growth agency

A working business isn't a franchise yet. We build the difference.

Brandchisor engineers franchise systems on FRANOMICS economics — the same disciplined, unit-economics-first framework built for evaluating franchises, now applied to building them correctly the first time.

A small number of engagements at a time — modeled on real unit economics, not volume.

How we think

Built on FRANOMICS

FRANOMICS is Oval Business Group's operating discipline for franchise decisions — the economics-first rigor built for evaluating whether a franchise is worth buying. Brandchisor applies the same discipline in reverse, to the businesses being built into franchise systems in the first place. Five tenets, unchanged either direction.

01

Unit economics first

A franchise system is only as strong as the economics of a single unit. We model that before anything else gets built — royalty structure, working capital, and franchisee margin included.

02

Replicability by design

Every process is documented and pressure-tested to run without the founder in the room. If it only works because you're standing there, it isn't a franchise system yet.

03

Disclosure discipline

Legal, financial, and operational claims are built to withstand FDD-level scrutiny from day one, in coordination with qualified franchise counsel.

04

Franchisee-aligned growth

A system that only benefits the franchisor doesn't stay a system for long. We build for the franchisee's return as deliberately as the franchisor's.

05

Sustainable pace

Growth sequenced to what the brand, the training infrastructure, and the support team can actually sustain — not to what a sales quota needs this quarter.

What we do

Three ways to work with us

Engagements are scoped to what a business actually needs — not bundled into a single one-size package.

01 — legal & FDD

Legal & FDD coordination

We coordinate with your qualified franchise counsel on FDD preparation, state filings, and legal architecture — keeping the legal track moving without you managing it alone.

Best for: businesses that already have a development plan and need the legal track run cleanly.

02 — build & market

Development + marketing

Franchise system design, operations manual, brand architecture, franchise sales positioning, and launch marketing — the full build, project-scoped with an optional ongoing retainer.

Best for: founders ready to franchise but without an in-house team to build the system.

03 — partnership

Strategic partnership

A done-for-you build with defined milestones and negotiated revenue share or equity — for founders who want a true build partner, not just a vendor on retainer.

Best for: a founder who wants Brandchisor's economics tied to the system's actual performance.

How an engagement runs

From one location to a system

01

Survey

We assess franchisability against your real numbers — unit economics, operational dependence on you personally, and whether the brand can be taught rather than just performed.

02

Blueprint

Franchise strategy, fee and royalty structure, and legal architecture — modeled against the unit economics from Survey, before a single document gets drafted.

03

Build

Operations manual, training program, and FDD, developed in coordination with your franchise attorney and built to be run by someone other than you.

04

Break ground

Franchise marketing, lead qualification, and your first sales — launched deliberately, not blasted out before the system can support what it sells.

05

Scale

Ongoing franchisee support and system growth, paced to what your training and support infrastructure can actually carry.

Before you start

Is your business ready to franchise?

Franchising can be the fastest way to scale a proven business — it can also be the fastest way to scale what's broken. A quick, honest check before either of us commits time:

  • →At least one to two years of proven, profitable unit economics — not just a good story.
  • →Operations that don't depend on your personal relationships or your presence on-site.
  • →A brand and customer experience that can be taught to someone else, not just performed by you.
  • →Margins that can absorb a royalty and still leave a franchisee a real return.
  • →You're ready to become a systems teacher — the job changes from running the business to running the standard.
Walk through it with us

Why founders build with us

Not built for volume

Most franchise development firms are built to close deals — sales scripts, territory maps, and a pipeline to keep full. We're built to close deals that still work in year five. Brandchisor takes on a small number of engagements at a time and models the unit economics ourselves before recommending anything, instead of starting from a template and working backward to justify it.

We also stay tied to how a system performs after launch, not just at signing — through Exitonomics, the Oval network's exit-planning practice, because a franchise brand's real value shows up when it's eventually sold, not only when it's first sold.

Part of a coordinated network

You're not hiring just us

Brandchisor operates independently, but a development engagement rarely stays inside one lane. Two coordinated partners we work alongside:

Consulting partner

FranMerica

Franchise advisory across the buyer and ownership side of the market — so a system Brandchisor builds is designed the way an actual franchise buyer will evaluate it, not just the way a franchisor wants to present it.

Media partner

The Franchise Nation

An emerging media, community, and franchise-discovery platform, built to give a new franchise brand a path to an audience of prospective franchisees beyond a cold marketing budget.

Brandchisor operates independently. These are coordinated partners inside the same network, not vendors we're paid to recommend — and any referral relationship is disclosed as part of an engagement, not buried in it.

Questions

Frequently asked

How is this different from just hiring a franchise attorney?+

A franchise attorney drafts and files the legal documents — the FDD, the franchise agreement, state registrations. Brandchisor designs the business underneath those documents: the unit economics, the operations system, the training program, and the go-to-market. We coordinate closely with your attorney; we don't replace them.

How long does it take to franchise a business?+

It depends on how ready the underlying business is. A business with clean, documented operations and stable unit economics moves faster than one still working those out. We'll give you a real timeline after Survey, not a marketing number.

Do you take equity in exchange for development work?+

Only within the Strategic Partnership track, and only when it's negotiated explicitly — ownership, authority, compensation, and exit terms defined upfront. Our Legal & FDD and Development + Marketing tracks are straightforward fee-for-service.

Does Brandchisor sell franchises for me, or just build the system?+

Core engagements build the system: legal architecture, operations, training, and launch marketing. Ongoing franchise sales support can be scoped as part of Scale, once the system is built well enough to support what it sells.

What does an engagement cost?+

It depends on the track and the scope. Legal & FDD coordination is typically a fixed fee; Development + Marketing is project-based with an optional retainer; Strategic Partnership is negotiated. We'll scope a real number after Survey.
